Ace Attorney 6: details and scans from Famitsu (Case 2, list of VA, new characters)
As announced on Tuesday, Ace Attorney 6 is featured in Famitsu magazine this week. The latest entry in the Ace Attorney series gets a 6 page article, which also covers the Ace Attorney anime series (which began airing last Saturday in Japan). As usual, we have translations of all the details from the magazine, courtesy of the good folks over at Court Records!
But first, here’s the list of voice actors:
- Phoenix Wright: Takayuki Kondou
- Apollo Justice: KENN
- Athena Cykes: Megumi Han
- Maya Fey: Satomi Hanamura
- Ema Skye: Marina Inoue
- Trucy Wright: Chieko Higuchi
- Leifa Padma Kurain: Saori Hayami
- Nayuta Saadmahdi: Daisuke Namikawa
- Bokuto Tsuani: Emiri Katou
Next, we have some details about the second case of the game. It all starts during the rehearsals for Trucy Wright’s show, called “Trucy in Gramaryeland”. During that rehearsal, the body of Mr. Menyo (one of Trucy’s co-performers) is found, and a few moments later, parts of the set suddenly collapse. After that, Trucy is held responsible for the incidents, and arrested on the spot. Naturally, Apollo Justice steps in to defend her in court.
One of the new characters is called Kanenari Shinoyama (his alias is Jack Yamashino), a producer who works for Nidomi TV (lit. Look Twice TV). He’s there working on special coverage for Trucy Wright’s show. The quote next to him in the scans below reads: “Jack Yamashino, Hijacking the Living Room!”.
As mentioned previously, Perceive makes its comeback in Ace Attorney 6. Apollo Justice will actually need this ability to find out what Mimi Nanano (Trucy Wright’s assistant) is hiding.
As for Ema Skye, she makes her comeback as forensics investigator. Since she has finally achieved her dream, she seems quite happier (and much less grumpy) than in Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney. However, in one of the screenshots, she can be seen warning Apollo not to touch anything, or she will get angry.
Forensics also make their comeback, with:
- fingerprint dusting (which is now combined with 3D examination of evidence)
- examination of video footage in different angles, to find contradictions and new clues
Finally, we get the confirmation that one of the features introduced in Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Dual Destinies is back: the investigation memo (which works the same way). Thanks to it, players can make sure they haven’t forgotten anything during investigation parts (pretty useful to avoid getting stuck because you forgot to check something in an investigation area).
Here’s the scans from Famitsu magazine:
