Ace Attorney 6: introducing Nayuta Sadmahdi (rival prosecutor)

Update

You can find more details in this post!

***Gyakuten Saiban 6A few minutes ago, we learned from the usual batch of weekly previews that Ace Attorney 6 would be featured in Famitsu magazine this week. There will be details about Athena Cykes and the Mood Matrix, the basic gameplay systems (investigation and court parts), and more importantly… the rival prosecutor!

It didn’t take very long for the scans to leak, allows us to get some details and a picture for the mysterious rival prosecutor. Their name is Nayuta Sadmadhi (Nayuta means 10 000/myriad in Sanskrit, and Sadmahdi comes from Samahdi), and they are described as the “Funeral Prosecutor”. They’re both an international prosecutor and an eminent monk, with a devout belief in their religion.

For the victims to find salvation, the guilty need to be convincted: it’s one of their beliefs, which shows just how important religion is to them (which does fit the global theme for Kurain Kingdom). In the scan below, we can read:

“Let’s judge upon the guilty and guide the spirits of their victims to the afterlife”

Famitsu describes Nayuta Sadmadhi as someone with a soft demeanor, but with a sharp tongue (it’s not quite clear if it’s a man or woman). Instead of “Objection”, they shout “Satora!”. Apparently, both Phoenix Wright and Apollo Justice will have to battle against them in court, in Japan and Kurain Kingdom (they are an international prosecutor, after all).

Here’s the first scan from Famitsu magazine, which also shows a witness called “Mimi” (Japanese for “ear”, which does fit her design):

Ace Attorney 6 (3DS) will be released this year in Japan. A European and North American release has already been confirmed.
