Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney out on Nov. 22nd in Japan; Ace Attorney 1~6 collection, 3DS Themes
Earlier today, Capcom announced that Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney was headed to the Nintendo eShop of the Nintendo 3DS in November, in Europe and North America. Nothing was announced for Japan, but it looks like it was only a matter of minutes before the game was confirmed for that region, where it will be released on November 22nd! There’s no doubt Europe and North America will get it on the same day.
But unlike Europe and North America, Capcom is actually going to release Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney at retail in Japan. It will be slightly cheaper on the Nintendo eShop, though: 2 990 Yen + taxes at retail / 2 769 Yen + taxes on the Nintendo eShop.
What’s more, Capcom is also going to release a Collector’s Package, and several other Limited Editions. Here’s the list:

Also, the official website was launched and provides a few additional details about the game (but nothing too exciting or really new). First, it mentions the updated graphics, now in a much higher resolution (if Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy is anything to go by, they’re based on the mobile version of the game). Capcom also confirms that the game is indeed compatible with stereoscopic 3D.
And just like in Europe and North America, the Japanese version of Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney will also feature both the English and Japanese versions!
Other changes include:
- possibility of restarting from the previous cross-examination if you get a Game Over during the court part
- the game now displays at which statement you are during a cross-examination
- you can now use the Cicle Pad during the 3D examination of evidence, while using the D-Pad to move the cursor around
- various other unspecified improvements
In Japan, Capcom will have special Nintendo 3DS Themes for players who buy the game at specific stores:
- Amazon: Cake Characters
- Geo: Magical Characters
Finally, here’s more screenshots and artworks for the game:
