Attack on Titan 2: release dates, new trailer, and footage
Today, during another livestream (this time on the Famitsu Channel), Attack on Titan 2 on Nintendo Switch was once again showcased. We not only got to see some more of the game in action, but three new characters were also revealed, we got a new trailer, and the release date was announced… that’s a lot for a 1 hour-long livestream!
First, the most important announcement: the release date! Attack on Titan 2 will be released on March 15th in Japan, and March 20th in Europe and North America.

The Treasure Box edition and the various pre-order/retailer bonuses were also revealed, but we’re going to wait until the official website has been updated with all the details before listing everything! In Japan, pre-orders for the retail edition will open tomorrow (December 5th), with digital pre-purchase going live at a later date.
Next, the character reveals. There were three of them during the livestream, complete with a Story Scene for them:
- Annie
- Reiner
- Bertholdt
As usual, the website will be updated with pictures and details for those new characters later.
But that’s not all, it was also (re)confirmed that you would be able to play as a Titan: Armored Titan, Colossal Titan, Female Titan, and the Mystery Titan. Here’s some gameplay footage for those segments, featuring the Female Titan:
