Azure Striker Gunvolt: over 160 000 downloads on 3DS, Striker Pack commercial

This Summer, Azure Striker Gunvolt 2 will be released worldwide, on Nintendo 3DS (via the Nintendo eShop). While Inti Creates is busy promoting this sequel, it doesn’t mean that players are done with the original… quite the opposite! Today, the company announced that Azure Striker Gunvolt had been downloaded over 160 000 times on Nintendo 3DS, worldwide.

The last time we got an update, it was on March 25th, when it was announced that the game had been downloaded over 150 000 times on Nintendo 3DS, worldwide. In other words, the game has sold an additional 10 000 units in roughly two months. Sales have been remarkably steady, as it also took roughly two months to go from 140 000 to 150 000 units sold.

In Japan, Azure Striker Gunvolt will get a retail release on August 25th, as part of the Striker Pack (including the original and its sequel). Unfortunately, we don’t know if there will be such a release in Europe and/or North America, but Inti Creates explained they needed a partner for that and were currently looking for one.
