BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle: details about the demo and open beta (North America)
A few weeks ago, Arc System Works shared details about the demo and open beta for BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle for Japan. And yesterday, we finally got some details for Europe and North America!
Let’s start with Europe: there will not be either a demo or open beta for that region. PQube confirmed that earlier this week, via Twitter.
In North America, the schedule for the open beta is as follows:

5/10 – 5/14 | 20 Characters | Casual Lobby Tactics Mode (Tutorial & Practice Only) VS Mode (CPU) |
Offline Only Demo | 5/14 ~ | 4 Characters | Tactics Mode (Tutorial & Practice Only) VS Mode (CPU) |
Here’s the 20 players available in the Open Beta:
- BlazBlue

And here’s the 3 games modes available:

Important note: to access the open beta, you need to download the Special Trial demo available from the Nintendo eShop. It has its own page on the Nintendo eShop, unlike regular demos that can be found on the same page as the full game. The same applies for the Japanese demo, in case you’re wondering!
BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle (Switch) comes out on May 31st in Japan, June 5th in North America, and this Summer in Europe.
