Etrian Odyssey V: website update (Hound and Shaman videos, more)
Today, Atlus once again updated the official website for Etrian Odyssey V. This time again, there’s two new videos (the trailer for the Hound and Shaman classes), but also some other details about the game (such as the Fencer’s skill and Titles).
Fencer
We already wrote about the skills and Titles of the Fencer class, so click here for details about the former, and here for details about the latter!
Hound
Here’s what we wrote about the Hound class:
- Hound: they focus on long range attacks, and use the bow and arrow. They work together with animals (such as falcons, for example), and focus on attacking + binding body parts of enemies.
Here’s some of their skills:
- Falcon Whistle: allows the user to summon a falcom (which can also be done while exploring the dungeon).
- Wings Flash: a long-range and fast stab attack, hitting only one enemy. It’s followed by an attack from a falcon, for some additional damage.
- Hound Whistle: allows the users to summon a hound (which can also be done while exploring the dungeon).
- Rescue Sign: heal status and HP of an ally with the help of the hound.
Head after the break for the rest of this post!
Shaman
Here’s what we wrote about the Shaman class:
- Shaman: they stay in the back row, in order to support their allies. They can communicate with spirits, but also heal allies, and get divine protections.
Here’s some of their skills:
- Prayer: Guard: all allies get increased defense for three turns. The higher the level, the longer the effects last.
- Gospel: if used along with a strengthening skill, it allows the targeted ally to also recover some HP.
- Oracle: Ranbu: cancels fire, ice, and thunder damage. Unleashes a long range attack using the canceled element, while lowering the strength of enemy attacks using said element during the same turn.
Twilight Pavillion
The Twilight Pavillion is where you go for quest. The place is managed by a witch called Melina (Akemi Okamura).
Etrian Odyssey V (3DS) comes out on August 4th in Japan.
