Genei Ibun Roku #FE: new NPC, bosses, extra skill, story, dungeons, DLC, video, and more
Genei Ibun Roku #FE: website update
Today is Friday, which means it’s already time for the latest official website update for Genei Ibun Roku #FE! And unlike last week, we quite a lot of things this time around: a new character is introduced, we get a look as some of the bosses (enemy Mirages, from the Fire Emblem series), details about the Extra skills, a video, and more!
New character
The new character is Chikaomi Tsurugi (voiced Juurouta Kosugi). He’s Yashiro Tsurugi’s father.
Bosses
Next, we get a look at various bosses: they’re Enemy Mirages, which are based on characters from the Fire Emblem series.
- Abel (voiced by Takuya Satou), from Fire Emblem: The Dark Dragon and the Sword of Light / Mystery of the Emblem. He’s both a rival and close friend to Cain, but due to a curse, jealousy for his friend takes hold of his heart and turns him into a Dark Knight.
- Lon’qu (voiced by Takehito Koyasu), from Fire Emblem Awakening. Even after turning evil, Lon’qu is as cool and stoic as ever. For some unknown reason, he wanders aimlessly in the depths of the Idolasphere.
- Aversa (voiced by Tanaka Kumi), from Fire Emblem Awakening. Her appearance is radically different compared to FEA. She is described as a rather cold and ruthless person. She doesn’t hesitate one second to strike at the weakness in the heart of Tsubasa Oribe’s little sister in order to control her. She seems to know the motivation behind the actions of the Enemy Mirages.
- Gangrel (voiced by Sakamaki Manabu), from Fire Emblem Awakening. A rather imposing enemy, with his upper body taking up most of the screen. His specialty? Controlling the desires of humans, and make them run wild.
- Garrick (voiced by Shinya Fukamatsu), from Fire Emblem Awakening. Just after Aoi Itsuki becomes a Mirage Master, he appears before him. He’s extremely proud of his strength, wild, and prone to destroy everything around him. His weapon is a giant axe.
- Excellus (voiced by Shinobu Matsumoto), from Fire Emblem Awakening. For him, humans are nothing but pawns to be controlled. He may be a coward, he’s ready to do anything to achieve his goal. He’s apparently attracted to Tsubasa Oribe’s qualities.
Extra skills
Besides the usual commands skills, the battle system of Genei Ibun Roku #FE also features Extra Skills. Those trigger various effects, and involve the characters performing some showy actions. Three types of Extra Skills are introduced:
- Ad-Lib Performance: it has a wide attack range and additional effects. It can occur when using a command skill;
- Special Performance: those skills are basically special moves, and use SP. With them, you can attack while ignoring attributes, turn the tables during a battle, and more;
- Duo Arts: special combination moves that two Performers use together. They not only have various effects, they also allow you to get an additional session and rack in some combos. To use Duo Arts, you need to select their icon during a session.

Famitsu details
This week, Genei Ibun Roku #FE was featured in Famitsu magazine, with details about the story, dungeons, DLC, and more. Let’s start with the “Theatre Opening Disappearing Case”, an event that occured 5 years before those of the game. It was a real tragedy, but unfortunately, it was never solved.
In the middle of a play, a mysterious black mist appeared suddenly, and made everybody go missing… with the exception of Tsubasa Oribe. Among the people who disappeared, there was:
- Ayaha Oribe (Tsubasa Oribe’s older sister, introduced a few weeks ago)
- Yashiro Tsurugi (the 7th Mirage Master)
- Chikaomi Tsurugi (Yashiro Tsurugi’s father, and an extremely talented actor)
Famitsu also tells us about a mysterious cashier, who’s managing the closed shop counter at the Jack Frost convenience store (according to an urban legend). This cashier can only be seen by Mirages, and she sells special items. She also appears in the dungeons themselves, where she asks for materials.
As mentioned before, the dungeons are located within the Idolasphere (and not Hydrasphere, as we reported earlier). They look like strange versions of actual locations from Tokyo. On the GamePad screen, you will find a map: it’s filled automatically as you explore the dungeons.
As for Tiki (who managed the Bloom Palace), she has lost her memory (just like Chrom and the other Mirages). By talking with the protagonist, Aoi Itsuki, she will gradually recover her memory.
Next, we have Palla (from the very first Fire Emblem game), who appears as a boss. It looks like her sisters, Catria and Est, also fight by her side during the battle.
Finally, we have details about some of the DLC planned for the game (those are from the Fortissimo Editions):
- Tokyo Millennium Collection: includes “cosplay” costumes , made by Maiko (Maid Eleanora, Santa Tsubasa, Nurse Kiria);
- Let’s go to the Hot Springs! Fortuna Girls/Boys: includes two sets of swimsuits costumes for the male and female characters. You will also be able to watch a special program on the TV in the office (a hot spring TV show, where you will be able to check out the characters wearing the swimsuits);
- Mirage Hunter: three sets of support quests.
- Experience Tale: allows you to get XP easily;
- Proficiency Tale: allows you to get items that improve the proficiency of your weapons, and allows your characters to learn skills faster;
- Wild Festival: allows you to fight rare enemies that drop stat-enhancing item.
NB: you cannot save during those quests. Also, Famitsu confirms they will be available as paid DLC after launch, so you will be able to get them even if you don’t buy one of the Fortissimo Editions.
Genei Ibun Roku #FE (Wii U) comes out on December 26th in Japan, and next year in Europe and North America.
