Hyrule Warriors Legends – Character Trailer #3: Toon Link

Earlier this month, Koei-Tecmo uploaded the very first character trailer for Hyrule Warriors Legends, and started introducins the new playable characters of the game. And as announced last week, the character trailer for Toon Link was uploaded just a few minutes ago, and shows us how this character fights.

As mentioned a few weeks ago in Famitsu magazine, Toon Link primarily uses his sword to attack. He uses the same type of spin attack as in The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, but it only leaves him all dizzy when he uses the stronger variant as a special attack. All in all, Tooon Link feels quite different from the other two Links (regular Link and Young Link).

The character trailer for Toon Link also shows part of one of the maps inspired by The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. It’s some sort of fusion between the Earth Temple and the Wind Temple, and the music used is actually the boss theme from the Wind Temple (Molgera, which doesn’t appear as a boss in this game).

Unfortunately, Koei-Tecmo didn’t say whether there would be another character trailer next week. We also don’t know why the one for Toon Link was revealed today (and not on Thursday like the previous two). Maybe something special is happening tomorrow (a website renewal, maybe?)?

Hyrule Warriors Legends (3DS) comes out on January 21st in Japan, and March 25th in Europe and North America.
