Japan: White + Yellow 2DS New Super Mario Bros. 2 bundle out on Dec. 15th

It’s in December that Nintendo will release Super Mario Run, its second mobile app (following Miitomo). It’s the first one that will feature Mario, its most famous character, as the playable character. And it looks like the game has caught the interest of many players, since 20 millions of them have pre-registered to be notified of its release.

And it looks like Nintendo has paid a lot of attention to what happened with Pokémon GO, and more precisely the significant increase in sales for both Nintendo 3DS Hardware and Pokémon games. This time around, the company will be ready for any post-Super Mario Run launch increase, at least in Japan.

Today, Nintendo announced a brand new bundle for the Nintendo 2DS, which includes the following:

• White + Yellow Nintendo 2DS
• New Super Mario Bros. 2 (pre-loaded)
• 4GB SD card
• AC Adapter
• 1 touchpen
• 6 AR cards

This White + Yellow Nintendo 2DS bundle with New Super Mario Bros. 2 will be released on December 15th in Japan, and will cost 12 938 Yen (including taxes). Unfortunately, we don’t know if Nintendo is planning to release it outside Japan, or if this new colour will make it to Europe or North America.
