In Japan, a new Mario Party game was announced on Wednesday. It’s developed by Capcom, but it’s not for the Wii U, the Nintendo 3DS, or even the mysterious NX platform. It’s for…. Arcade! Called “Mario Party Fushigi no Challenge World” (lit: “Mario Party Mysterious Challenge World”), it can be played with up to 6 players.
It will be showcased at the Japan Amusement Expo on February 19th (at the Makuhari Messe in Chiba), and will launch this Summer. A location test is taking place until February 14th at the Namco Land Heroes Camp, in Nagoya.
Mario Party Fushigini no Challenge World is a medal game, designed to be easy to use and play. At the center, there’s a projector, showing a roulette, and on each side, there’s touch panels for players to use. The game will have mini-games, board games, boss events, but also jackpot games. Of course, players will be able to chose from various Super Mario characters, just like in a regular Mario Party game.

Unfortunately, we don’t know if this game will ever come to North America and/or Europe (which is pretty unlikely).
