Monster Hunter Stories: opening movie, details and screens for Kopuni Village
The release of Monster Hunter Stories draws even nearer, and it doesn’t look like Capcom is done revealing new content for it. Today, the publisher uploaded the opening movie, which is entirely in 3D CG. It shows the protagonist stealing a monster egg, and then getting chased by its owner.

But that’s not all! Capcom also shared some more details about the game, and more precisely Kopuni Village. It’s a pretty idyllic village, located in a tropical region. Due to the warm weather, many Felynes actually go there when they’re on vacation.
One of the attractions is a mysterious rock, that looks like two Felynes against each other. Various Felynes live in that village, and naturally, you should definitely try to talk to them all.
Here’s some of the characters you can meet in Kopuni Village:
- Matar (Village Chief): a kind woman who looks over Hanako, Torao, and the other Felynes living in the village. She’s said to be a strong leader, and kind like a mother;
- Hanako: a female Felyne who lives in the village. Nabiru meets her during a certain event during the story.
- Torao and Kagishippo: two Felynes who lives in the village. Torao is the boss, Kagishippo is the underling, and they’re always hanging out together.
