Today’s Pokémon news: a special holiday event for Pokémon GO, but also…
- Pokémon Sun and Moon plushies
Pokémon GO
Yesterday, Niantic announced a special holiday event for Pokémon GO, that will start on December 25th and end on January 3rd. During that period:
- PokéStops will give you one single-use Incubator each day after your first Photo Disc spin, pretty useful for players trying to get one of the Pokémon from the second generation;
- there will be a greater chance of finding Eggs that hatch Togepi, Pichu, and other Gen. 2 Pokémon at PokéStops;
- the Christmas Pikachu will stay a bit longer (though it will keep its Christmas hat even after the event has ended), and it will be easier to find one during this particular event;
There’s also going to be a second event, running from December 30th to January 8th:
- the original starters and their evolutions (Bulbasaur, Ivysaur, Venusaur, Charmander, Charmeleon, Charizard, Squirtle, Wartortle, and Blastoise) will be easier to find;
- Lure Modules will last for 60 minutes instead of 30 minutes.
