Puyo Puyo Chronicle: new characters revealed, commercials, more
With exactly one month left until release, SEGA has revealed some new characters for Puyo Puyo Chronicle. What’s more, we also get to know what their skills are right away!
The new characters are:
- Rider (voiced by Noriko Namiki): a pretty shy young girl, and a student at the Primp Town magic school. She has large hair-tipped elf ears, and horns, but since she find them embarassing, she always tries to hide them with buns.
- Auto Skill: Shyness (increases HP)
- Special Skill: Sereno (Increase the Defense of all allies)
- Sig (voiced by Yuriko Fuchizaki): another student at the Primp Town magic school. A rather unusual boy, who is said to be rather spacey. His left eye is red, and his left hand is in fact a large red claw.
- Auto Skill: My Pace (increases Recovery)
- Special Skill: Smart (lowers the Defense of all opponents)
- Suketoudara (voiced by Hisayoshi Suganuma): basically, a huge fish with limbs who loves showing off his dancing skills.
- Auto Skill: Hurried Strength (increases HP)
- Special Skill: Fire Spin (lowers Attack of all opponents)

Speaking of Puyo Puyo, to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of both the Puyo Puyo and Sonic series, SEGA has partnered with Keikyu (a private railway operator in Tokyo). For a limited time, Keikyu 2100 trains circulating will feature various Puyo Puyo and Sonic decorations. Also, the sign for the Ootori station, located near the (former) SEGA offices at Haneda, also features a SEGA logo.
