Update
Thanks to Nintendo World Report, we have the release for Runbow in North America: August 27th! The launch price will be $14.99, unless you downloaded the Nindies @ Home demo during E3: in that case, the game will only cost $12.74 (15% off).
Also, if you’re going to PAX Prime at the end of the month, make sure to go try out the multiplayer there!

Runbow is a rather unique and colourful platformer, which can be played from 1 to 9 players on the same console (and via online multiplayer). The game will also have several modes, challenges, unlockable content, special costumes and more, for hours of fun.
Yesterday evening, NintendoLife uploaded an exclusive trailer for Runbow. Not only does it show gameplay for this hectic and colourful platformer, but it also introduces even more guest characters:
– Gunvolt (Azure Striker Gunvolt)
– Teslamancer (Teslagrad)
– Clone (Stealth Inc.)
– ARID (The Fall)
– Xeodrifter (Xeodrifter)
– Princess (Chariot)
– Max (Mutant Mudds)
– Drifter (Hyper Light Drifter)
– Unity Chan
Here’s the trailer:
Back in April, a first trailer introduced the following characters (which are also see in the trailer just above):
– Shovel Knight (Shovel Knight)
– Rusty (SteamWorld Dig)
– Juan / Tostada (Guacamelee!)
– Swift Thornebrooke (Sportsball)
– Scram Kitty (Scram Kitty and His Buddy on Rails)
– Commandervideo/ Commandgirlvideo (Bit.Trip)
All these guest characters make Runbow a real Nindies celebration, and are bound to be popular during 9 players sessions with friends! Even if the game is published by 13AM Games, Nintendo did help them in order to make all those guest appearances possible!
Runbow (Wii U) will come out this year in Europe and North America.
