Sonic Boom: Fire & Ice launching on October 27 in Japan, boxart, 3DS Theme, screens
Shortly after the announcement of Sonic Boom: Fire & Ice, last year, SEGA confirmed that the game would indeed be released in Japan (where it’s called Sonic Toon: Fire & Ice). Naturally, it was also delayed in that region, and today, SEGA finally revealed the new launch date: October 27th (roughly one month after Europe and North America).
SEGA also announced that players who purchase the game will receive an exclusive Nintendo 3DS Theme. This is a Sonic the Hedgehog 25th Anniversary theme, and it features both Classic and Modern Sonic.

Unfortunately, we don’t know if SEGA also plans to release it in Europe and North America (and if it will also be a bonus for those who buy the game, or if it will be sold separately). That being said, it would be pretty surprising if it remained a Japan-exclusive…
Next, here’s the Japanese boxart for the game:
Finally, here’s some screenshots from the game (including a couple from Amazon):
Sonic Boom: Fire & Ice (3DS) comes out on September 27th in North America, September 30th in Europe, and October 27th in Japan. Our Upcoming Releases page has been updated!
