Splatoon 2: Wet Floor’s first EP, TV Commercial
In Splatoon, music was a pretty big deal, and one of the aspects of the game that caught on the most with fans. After all, Nintendo went as far as having live concerts with the Squid Sisters in Japan and in France. Naturally, the company is planning to fully capitalise on that particular aspect with Splatoon 2.
On July 12th, Wet Floor (a fictional band) will release their very first EP, exclusively at Tower Records. It will cost 1 500 Yen, and will include the following tracks:
- Inkoming!
- Rip Entry
- Endolphin Surge
- Inkoming!(performed by Wet Floor Shibuya, a real-life representative of Wat Floor)
Earlier today, Tower Records uploaded a promotional video for that EP, showing footage of the recording session:
And here’s what the cover the EP looks like:
But that’s not all: on July 30th at 1PM JST, there will be live performance by Wet Floor Shibuya at the CUTUP STUDIO (located at the Tower Records store in Shibuya). Unfortunately, it’s highly unlikely this will be livestreamed.
Also, here’s a TV Commercial for Splatoon, called “Answer the Call to Battle”. To the surprise of no one, it puts heavy emphasis on the local multiplayer and competitive aspects, that Nintendo has been pushing for this game (but also the Nintendo Switch itself) a lot in the past few months.
