Splatoon: CoroCoro manga now in English (fan translation), Squirt Gun at Target
Last week, we learned that CoroCoro had published a Splatoon manga (a one-shot) in its latest issue, which led many fans to wonder if Nintendo was ever going to get it translated in English. It turns out that it did get an English version after all…an unofficial one, that is, courtesy of a fan on 4chan.
The manga explains the Splatoon universe: the Turf Wars, some of the Inklings techniques (like being able to go through metal grids while in Squid form), and more. It’s nothing special, but it’s well made and certainly makes you want more! Who knows, if Splatoon becomes really successful, maybe Nintendo will try to push the franchise via another medium (like an anime series, for example)?
Here’s the fan translation of the Splatoon manga, from CoroCoro magazine:
Next: a rather neat early-purchase bonus. If you buy Splatoon at Target, you will be able to get an exclusive Squirt Gun (based on the actual weapon in the game). Here’s a picture of the gun:
Splatoon (Wii U) comes out on May 28th in Japan, and May 29th in Europe and North America.
