Splatoon: new map to be added in a few hours

During the Splatoon Direct, in May, Nintendo announced that new content (map and weapons) for Splatoon would be added regularly to the game. The point is obviously to keep players interested, so that they keep on playing the game without getting bored with the same weapons and maps.

That being said, most of the content so far is already available on the disc (or on your Wii U / external HDD), and we’re most likely going to have to wait for the big update in August before we get brand new content not already in the game’s files.

Today, Nintendo announced that a new map would be added to Splatoon tomorrow (this evening for North America): Kelp Dome. You probably remember this map from the Hero Mode (Single Player), which means you probably know how “deadly” those catwalks can be!

This new map will be available on June 11tth at:

– Europe: 4AM
– UK: 3AM
– North America (EDT): 10PM (June 10th)
– North America (PDT): 7PM (June 10th)
– Japan: 11AM
