Splatoon: new weapon to be added in a few hours (Rapid Blaster Pro Deco)

In a recent interview with GameInformer, Nintendo revealed that the distribution of free content for Splatoon would end in January. In other words, we only have a few weeks left with new weapons and maps. After that, Splatfests and Software updates will continue, but nothing new will be added to the game.

Today, Nintendo announced that a brand new weapon from the Shooters family would be added in a few hours: the Rapid Blaster Pro Deco. As the name implies, it’s a special variant of the Rapid Blaster Pro, but with some stickers on it. It also comes with Disruptors (Sub Weapon) and the Killer Wail (Special Weapon), but its stats are exactly the same as the original.

Due to the 9th Japanese Splatfest taking place this week-end, this new weapon will be added on Friday morning (Thursday evening for North America) instead of Saturday morning. It will make for a nice Christmas present for your Inkling!

The Rapid Blaster Pro Deco will be available tomorrow at:

• Europe: 3AM
• UK: 2AM
• North America (ET): 9PM (today)
• North America (PT): 6PM (today)
• Japan: 11AM
