Splatoon news (June 30) – Squid Sisters concert @ Japan Expo to be recorded, more
Today, Nintendo announced the 16th and last Splatfest, which will take place from July 22th to July 24th. At the same time, the company announced various other things: we’ve rounded up everything in this post for your convenience!
Squid Sisters @ Japan Expo
A couple of weeks ago, Nintendo announced that the third live performance for the Squid Sisters would be at the Japan Expo, on July 8th at 1.45PM local time. But back then, we didn’t know if it would be livestreamed or not.
Unfortunately, Nintendo confirmed today that this concert would not be livestreamed. But at least, we now know that it will be recorded, and uploaded (on YouTube), though we don’t know when exactly (right after the concert is over, a few days later?).

To celebrate the last Splatfest, Nintendo has launched a new drawing event on Miiverse. Fans can submit artworks drawn in one of the Art Academy games on Wii U and Nintendo 3DS. This time around, the theme is “Splatfest memories”.
Here’s the rules:
- Pictures must be related to the theme – “Splatfest memories”
- Pictures must be drawn using software from the Art Academy series (available for purchase at retailers or from Nintendo eShop)
- Comment on this post to submit your entry
You have until July 13th to submit your drawing. There will not be any prizes or anything, but the best drawings will be shared via social networks!
