Splatoon: Nintendo Minute (Battle Dojo), weapon video, manga, Mess Fest photos and Vlog
Nintendo Minute (May 15th)
Yesterday evening, Nintendo uploaded its weekly episode of Nintendo Minute. Since we’re still in May, this one is once again focusing on Splatoon: this time around, we get a look at the Battle Dojo. Revealed a few weeks ago, this mode pits two players against each other. But the goal isn’t to cover the most area in ink… it’s to pop up balloons! One player plays on the TV, the other on the GamePad.
Hi all, we go head to head today in Splatoon’s Battle Dojo mode. It’s basically a crazy mess of splats, splats and more splats. We also have a special extra video going live this weekend. It’s a vlog of the Splatoon Mess Fest event we held at the Santa Monica Pier in LA. Hope you are enjoying AMAZE-INK MAY so far. See you guys later!

Weapon Video
Yesterday, Nintendo updated its Japanese website for Splatoon, and posted a brand new video. This one introduces various weapons and show them in action.
Manga
In its latest issue, CoroCoro magazine is featuring a one-shot manga for Splatoon. Unfortunately, it’s not drawn by Masahiro Anbe (author of Ika Musume -Squid Girl-), who is a big fan of Splatoon. We don’t know if this manga will ever be translated into English.
Here’s some scans from the magazine:
Splatoon Mess Fest
Yesterday, Nintendo held the Splatoon: Mess Fest in Santa Monica (California), in order to promote Splatoon. Throughout the event, Nintendo posted lots of pics over on Twitter and via a Press Release: here’s all those we managed to grab up! And if you prefer videos, don’t worry: Kit and Krysta (from Nintendo Minute) uploaded a special Vlog on YouTube!

Finally, don’t forget the last session of the Splatoon Global Testfire demo, taking place next week!
Splatoon (Wii U) comes out on May 28th in Japan, and on May 29th in Europe and North America.
