Pre-loading + Demo version
Taiko Drum Master: Dokodon! Mystery Adventure is the third Taiko Drum Master game on Nintendo 3DS, and it comes out on June 16th in Japan. Since Wednesday, users with a Japanese Nintendo 3DS can pre-purchase and pre-load the game from the Nintendo eShop or Nintendo’s website (using a Nintendo Account with a Nintendo ID linked).
If you’re interested in pre-loading Taiko Drum Master: Dokodon! Mystery Adventure, you will need at least 3 674 blocks / 459.25MB of free space on your SD Card. Once the game has been downloaded, all you will have to do is wait for 12AM JST on June 13th, download a small update, and you will be ready to play!
If you’re still not sure whether this is a game for you, a demo will be available from the Nintendo from June 15th, in Japan. It will let players get a taste of the Mystery Adventure Mode, and the Performance Mode (regular rhythm game).
Gameplay footage, Ace Attorney medley
Back when Taiko Drum Master: Dokodon! Mystery Adventure was announced, we learned that it would feature an Ace Attorney collaboration. Besides Phoenix Wright being available as character in Adventure Mode, there will be a medley with music from Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney trilogy.
That medley was showcased during the latest episode of Denji Getcha yesterday, so we finally know which songs are included:
- Phoenix Wright ~ Objection 2001 (Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney)
- Pressing Pursuit ~ Cornered (Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney)
- Pressing Pursuit ~ Cross Examination (Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Justice for All)
- Pressing Pursuit ~ Cornered / Variation (Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Trials and Tribulations)
Here’s some gameplay for Taiko Drum Master: Dokodon Mystery Adventure (the Ace Attorney medley is the last song played):
NB: our apologies for the slightly out-of-sync audio due to the stream lag (+ recording).
Head after the break for the rest of this post!
