Yo-kai Watch 3 to launch in Summer 2016 in Japan
During the Level 5 Vision 2015 -The Beginning- event (in April), Level-5 revealed Yo-kai Watch 3: the third entry in its extremely popular Yo-kai Watch series. For this game, Keita Amano (the protagonist) is traveling all the way to the United States, because of his father’s work. There, he will meet plenty of “American-flavoured” Yo-kai.
Meanwhile, back in Japan, players will get to meet a new (female) protagonist: Misora Inaho and a brand new Yo-kai called USApyon (who both star in the second season of the anime series, which starts tomorrow in Japan). But since the game’s announcement in April, Level-5 has said basically nothing about it… and it looks there was a reason for that.
Today, Level-5 announced that Yo-kai Watch 3 wouldn’t launch before Summer 2016 in Japan (most likely Saturday, July 9th). The company didn’t give any explanation for this “delay”, which isn’t really one as Level-5 never gave any date (not even a release year) for the game. It looks like the company is ready to let things sit a bit, instead of releasing a new game every year at all costs.
Yo-kai Watch 3 (3DS) will come out in Summer 2016 in Japan.
